Purpose: The Citizen’s Identity Card is a card issued equally to all Somali citizens and legal residents living inside and outside the country. This card has 11 unique numbers that never change and verifies that the holder is a Somali citizen. The appearance of the citizen ID card will be different from that issued to non-citizens who are legal residents in the country.
